Who is Marc, Really?

I'm not your typical CTO/CIO; While I grew up in and around technology, I actually started my career steering away from technology as a career path. I recall saying to a career counselor in high school that I didn't want to work in technology because "I liked people to much." I also remember telling one of my earlier mentors who encouraged me to go into a teaching profession that I couldn't see myself working with bratty kids all day every day. It's often funny how life works out.

Professionally, I describe myself as an experienced techie with a strong business background. I've gravitated towards small service oriented business and organizations. I've been in the education industry since 2008.

Personally, music is my first love, and my family is second. My wife (Ann-Marie) are a blended family. We share 6 children. I stay active in music my volunteering at a couple of area churches' worship teams. I do some occasional commercial and corporate voice-over work as another creative outlet.

Mission:

To connect and empower others to achieve, grow, and pursue excellence; to raise the bar of systems, organizations, and people, and to live up the highest possible ethical standards.

Vision:

To be an honest, ethical, and impactful technical leader, regionally recognized by my peers; to have a measurable, demonstrable, long term impact in education for decades to come.
